🧀 It’s CurderBurger day.
- Some background info: the CurderBurger was first proposed as an April Fools joke, but some people weren’t laughing. Instead, they were starting petitions. The company listened and brought the joke to life, but only for one day (today!).
- It seems like every news organization in town (including this one) has mentioned the CurderBurger at least once. But none have gone as deep into the story as the Cap Times, which has the full backstory on how the curd concoction became a reality.
🏌️♀️A new golf simulator bar is opening next month.
- Hook & Fade will be located downtown and plans to open on November 10th.
- Similar bars have been popping up in the area over the past two years, the Cap Times notes. 7 Iron Social opened in January 2020, and Blind Shot Social Club opened a few months ago.
🎓 Graduation rates are up at UW-Madison.
- The university says 89.2% of the freshman class who enrolled in 2015 will graduate within a six-year window.
- That's up from the prior year. 88.5% of the 2014 freshmen class graduated within six years.
🌲 A cannabis expo is coming to town in December.
- The event will "feature exhibitors covering all angles of the industry including growers, processors, dispensaries, operators, testers and investors."
🏈 Fun fact: UW-Madison will play Army football for the first time ever this weekend.
- The last time the Badgers faced one of the federal military academies was 1979.
🎃 Madison Magazine published a list of 23 fall activity suggestions.
- This list is a great resource to read and bookmark. We’ll also be keeping an eye out for exciting events.
